Introducing Alive’s Interim CEO, Joe Hampe
Published on June 26, 2023
Hi, I’m Joe Hampe. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and thank you personally for supporting Alive. I’ve had the honor of serving at Alive for nearly twelve years. I joined as CFO and have held various roles since then, including interim CEO, and most recently, COO. This has given me the opportunity to work with each of our departments from clinical care to finance to mission-based services, so I know firsthand just how much each of our teams care about our mission and the people we serve.
Quite simply, Alive’s role in the community cannot be replaced. The senior leadership team, the Board and I are all committed to keeping Alive an independent nonprofit so that we can continue to provide care for all Middle Tennesseans, regardless of their ability to pay.
The past several weeks have been tough for all of us at Alive. We are making plans to come together, appreciate one another and celebrate our nonprofit status. We will also be engaging with the community for more input as we move forward. We will share more details in the next few weeks as we solidify our plans.
I also want to share a congratulations to our clinical care teams. Their excellent work is being recognized once again with a Hospice CAHPS Honors Award. This prestigious annual review recognizes hospices that continuously provide the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver’s point of view with the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey. We didn’t need an award to tell us that our teams are among the best in the country. The impact they make on patients and their loved ones is beyond measure.
Once again, thank you for making our work possible and for standing by us. We couldn’t do it without you.
