30th Anniversary of Alive & The Bluebird
The 30th annual Alive & The Bluebird series kicks off on January 3 at The Bluebird Cafe! This year’s artist lineup includes Tom Douglas, Kathy Mattea, Brett Young, Liz Rose, The Warren Brothers, and more added daily. Tickets on sale now via The Bluebird Cafe.

Grief Center Offerings in January
Finding Lost Words
Join us on 1/18 for this in-person writing workshop, helping participants cope with loss through self-expression. Guided by a facilitator, participants will engage in writing activities that culminate in creating a poem based on a provided prompt. Register here.
Winter Grief Journey Groups Forming Now!
Winter Grief Journey groups, led by grief counselors, launch on February 9 for adults who have experienced the loss of someone significant to them and meet for eight consecutive Thursdays at 1:00-2:30 p.m. or 6:00-7:30m p.m. In-person and virtual options are available. Groups include:
- Loss of Spouse/Partner
- Loss of a Loved One
A one-time payment of $80 covers the cost of participation for the 8-week series; scholarships available. The deadline to register is February 2. Click here to register, and a staff member will contact you to confirm attendance. Participants attending virtually will receive a Zoom link on February 9.

Walking Through Grief
Grief is anything but a walk in the park. Join us every Tuesday at 10 a.m. for a weekly walk at Brentwood Library walking path with Alive Grief Counselors and other grieving community members to connect with others and the healing that comes with being in nature.

Youth Grief Support Groups
Join us Tuesdays, February 14 – April 11 at 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. for grief support groups for youth ages 3-17 at the Alive Nashville Grief Center (1721 Patterson St. in Nashville). Dinner included! Youth and families will express their thoughts and feelings with others who have also experienced the death of an important person. Sessions include grief education, games, and more.
