COVID-19 Grief Support Group
July 26: 6:00 pm - 7:15 pmFree
This support group is for adults who share in the experience of grief following the death of a friend or family member due to COVID-19. Now more than ever, loss can be an isolating experience, and learning to cope with grief while meeting the demands of daily life can be a lifeline challenge. This group will connect you with others who have first-hand understanding of the complexity of a pandemic-related loss. Our hope is by coming together as a group and supporting each other, your journey through grief will be a little more manageable. We hope to create a safe place where you are comfortable sharing your story (or just listening) and learning from each other about how to integrate the loss into your life. We have a monthly topic for discussion, but our format is flexible to meet group members where they are and best meet the needs of participants.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, this group is provided free of charge. A suggested donation of $5 per session is appreciated.
Groups are held using the Zoom meeting platform. Participants will be asked to have their video and audio on during the group which will allow you to interact with facilitators and attendees. Unlike traditional webinars, we’re keeping our groups small and intimate in an effort to create community and combat the isolation that typically accompanies grief. A Zoom meeting link will be provided via email the day of the event.
This group is intended for individuals who reside in Tennessee.
Registered attendees will receive an email containing a Group Intake Form, and will be contacted by the group facilitator prior to the event.
