2,800 hours and 15 years. That’s how much time volunteer extraordinaire Barbara Kaye has given us!
“Her sincerity, compassion, and sense of humor puts patients and families at ease, makes them feel supported, and helps lift their spirits when they need it most.” That’s what colleagues say about her and why she’s our nominee for Hands On Nashville’s Mary Catherine Strobel Volunteer Awards.
Barbara began volunteering with us in 2006, after her husband, Johnnie, died in our care. When she speaks about our services, she speaks from the heart and from personal experience. What sets Barbara apart is her willingness to assist in any way that is needed. She is just as happy to greet guests as she is to fill envelopes. Her sincerity, compassion, and sense of humor put patients and families at ease, make them feel supported, and help lift their spirits when they need it most.
Thank you, Barbara, for all you do for our patients and families!
