National Nurses Week!
Published on May 9, 2022
It takes a truly special person to be a hospice nurse. It’s Nurses Week, and we’ll be sharing some of the kind words and accolades our incredible nurses receive from the patients and families they care for.
Here are some kind words shared by family members:
If it is possible to have a good experience, we had a great one. The staff were very good at their jobs: knowledgeable, kind, respectful, and showed the utmost care for our mother and for us in every possible way. If we ever are in need, I will look to you first. – Family member of Alive patient
At home, we got excellent care from Lisa and then the best care ever from Karol. She was professional, caring, and helpful. The inpatient hospice was remarkable. They were always there to help during the last week of my husband’s life. I treasure that week. – Family member of Alive patient
Everyone on our team was wonderful. Our main nurse Megan made my husband feel very loved and she felt like family. Everyone that came went well above and beyond our expectations. They made us feel like we were the only patient/family they had in their care. They took time to answer all questions and concerns and made sure we had everything we needed. I cannot thank everyone enough. Thank you for being the agency you are. – Family member of Alive patient
Alive Hospice was wonderful with my mother. They loved on her and cared for her every hour of those 6 days. They would make sure we were comfortable and cared for also. I have never been so touched by the care that she received. I wish I could remember all the nurses that helped us during that time so I could thank them personally. Even the volunteers brought us snacks and shared love with us. It truly was a “going home” for Mom. – Family member of Alive patient
