Care for the Grieving Heart (In-Person)

It can be difficult to prioritize your physical and emotional health when you are grieving. This unique outdoor event (3/20) will introduce participants to a variety of self-care activities including aromatherapy, gentle yoga, reiki, guided meditation, prayer sticks, drum massage, progressive muscle relaxation, and sleep hygiene tips. Wear comfortable clothing, and come as you are. Space is limited. Register by calling 615-963-4732 or email griefsupport@alivehospice.org.

Mindfulness Moments

Alive volunteers are offering FREE 30-minute mindfulness and wellness classes weekly and monthly to help you re-center and focus throughout the day. Weekly Guided Meditation will take place every Thursday at 1 p.m. CST and Monthly Virtual Yoga occurs every first Wednesday of the month at noon. Register below.

Art Alive (Virtual)

What we do with loss and grief matter. Hosted by a licensed grief counselor, participants will have the opportunity to express their experience with loss and gain insight for the grief journey (3/17) in March’s project, Mandala in Grays. In this meditative project you will use the repetitive patterns of the mandala with the limiting palette of gray to create a rhythmic portrait as you explore what you can do to express your grief. Registered participants will receive a delivery of all materials needed to complete the month’s project prior to the first session. Register below.

Private Creative Art Memorials

Have you been looking for a unique way to honor your loved one? We are now holding Private Creative Arts Memorials for groups of 10 or fewer with access to our Creative Room, menu of memorialization projects, supplies, and support from a grief counselor and activity facilitator. Book yours by calling 615-963-4732 or email griefsupport@alivehospice.org.

We hope you can join us for these special events.
