National Alliance for Children’s Grief Webcast: The Multiverse of Grief

In collaboration with the National Alliance for Grieving Children, Alive will host an in-person live streaming of their Webcast on Children’s Grief.

This year’s webcast, The Multiverse of Grief: A Multicultural and Expressive Arts Approach, is open to professionals and lay people who support grieving children in a professional or personal capacity.

Cost to attend is just $5.00 (plus $2.18 event fees) and includes lunch and materials. 3 CE credits are available for $45 and can be purchased the day of the event.

Walking Through Grief

Grief is anything but a walk in the park. It can be challenging, upsetting, exhausting, and so much more. Yet, we also know that fresh air, gentle movement, and connection can help us cope. Join Alive Grief Counselors and other grieving community members for a weekly walk at The John P. Holt Brentwood Library path to connect with others and the healing that comes with being in nature.

Grief 101

This introductory group session answers questions on grief, provides tools, and introduces grief services offered by Alive.

Preparing for Goodbye: Coping with Grief Before Loss (Virtual)

For adults who are facing the terminal illness of a loved one. This class provides information on understanding and coping with the experience of anticipatory grief and finding meaning in the midst of expected loss.

Good Mourning Group (Virtual)

Join this weekly virtual meeting to start your day with support from others who understand what you’re going through.

This weekly virtual group provides a casual, supportive environment where participants will explore books with themes of loss, coping and hope. This group will meet on Wednesdays.

Eight-Week Grief Journey Groups Forming Now!

Our day and evening Grief Journey groups launch on April 4. Groups meet for eight consecutive Thursdays and are led by licensed Grief Counselors. $80 per participant, scholarships available. *Final group meeting times and locations to be determined based on interest.
