For Giving Tuesday, we’re sharing the story of a community member who has given so much to Alive, Charlotte Kenyon.
Charlotte has prepared hundreds of holiday meals to make sure that our patients and their loved ones enjoy holiday comfort food together. She and her husband Beau spent their last holiday season together at Alive before he died of cancer. The care they received inspired her to help other families during the holidays.
She started in her church kitchen, preparing special Thanksgiving meals to bring to the residence. This gift grew into more holiday meals and became a tradition that continues today with Alive’s leadership team members cooking and serving holiday favorites at the residences.
“An act of kindness is like a pebble being tossed in a pond…the ripples continue to reach others in need. You never know how far your one act of kindness will reach!” – Charlotte Kenyon
Thank you, Charlotte for tossing the pebble that rippled into a legacy of giving.
