Alive & The Bluebird
Benefit Concert Series Returns in January 2024
Alive’s biggest annual fundraiser kicks off in January with a month-long series of performances by hit singer/songwriters at the legendary Bluebird Cafe. Artists for 2024 include Kent Blazy, Tom Douglas, David Nail, The Warren Brothers, David Hodges, Darrell Scott, Chris DeStefano, Josh Osborne and more!
“Over the years, the songwriters who call The Bluebird home generously donate their time and talents to supporting Alive with this series of magical performances in January,” said The Bluebird Cafe’s COO and General Manager Erika Wollam-Nichols. “Many of our Bluebird songwriters, along with their friends and families, have been cared for by Alive and we’re grateful for the chance to participate and give back with this annual fundraiser.”
Alive hosts additional events throughout the year to bring the excitement of The Bluebird to other parts of Middle Tennessee. For those who can’t attend but still want to support Alive, donations can be made online.

Upcoming Grief Support Offerings
Grief 101
This introductory group session answers questions on grief, provides tools, and introduces grief services offered by Alive.
First and Third Tuesday | 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Preparing for Goodbye: Coping with grief before loss (Virtual)
For adults who are facing the terminal illness of a loved one. This class provides information on understanding and coping with the experience of anticipatory grief and finding meaning in the midst of expected loss.
Second and Fourth Tuesday: 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Winter Book Club
This weekly virtual group provides a casual, supportive environment where participants will explore books with themes of loss, coping and hope. This group will meet on Wednesdays.
This winter’s book is Finding Meaning by David Kessler.
Fourth Wednesday | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Eight-Week Grief Journey Groups Forming Now!
Our day and evening Grief Journey groups will launch in early 2024. Groups meet for eight consecutive Thursdays and are led by licensed Grief Counselors. $80 per participant, scholarships available. *Final group meeting times and locations to be determined based on interest.
