A Gathering with Purpose
Earlier this month, the Tennessee Conference on Grief 2025 brought together more than 200 grief professionals, social workers, counselors, and community members. It was a day dedicated to learning, collaboration, and connection.
The energy in the room was inspiring. Everyone came with one goal: to strengthen grief care and build a supportive community. One attendee even said it was the best conference they’d ever attended—a powerful reminder of why this work matters.
Key Conversations and Insights from the Conference
Throughout the day, we explored new ideas and shared experiences that will shape the future of grief support. Sessions highlighted the importance of attachment-based and trauma-informed approaches, cultural awareness, and creating spaces where people feel safe and supported.
We also discussed emerging trends, including the thoughtful use of AI in grief support, and why it’s essential to approach these tools with care. Another key takeaway was the reminder that grief looks different for children. For many kids, play and creative expression become their language for healing.
Why It Matters
These conversations guide us as we serve grieving individuals and families with empathy and innovation. When we come together with openness and compassion, we create a stronger community of care, which was exemplified at the Tennessee Conference on Grief.
