“My mother has cared for others nearly her entire life. As a nurse practitioner, her patients have shared many stories and even recipes with her that continuously remind her of the joy it is to care for others. One of her sweet patients once shared this Sweet Potato Casserole recipe with my mother that she has made each holiday dinner since. Her patient wrote this recipe by hand while still in the hospital. Anytime she is asked about the recipe, she gladly tells the story of her patient and the memories they shared. My siblings and I make sure to include this delicious dish wherever we are during the holidays.”
