In August, we hosted our annual Camp Forget-Me-Not at Camp Widjiwagan. Grieving kids and teens had a blast (making friends, playing games, swimming, etc.) in a caring place that also acknowledged their grief. Along with traditional camp fun, licensed bereavement counselors led remembrance and grief-processing activities throughout the weekend.
“The tools provided and being able to talk with other kids the same age is so impactful. My daughter wants to be a part of it every year and even become a camp counselor when she is old enough to help others in the future.” – Parent of a camper
