Alive’s Family Retreat in Murfreesboro

A Day of Connection and Healing for Families in Grief

Grief can be an isolating experience, especially for children and families navigating the loss of a loved one. At Alive, we believe in walking alongside families through every step of their grief journey. That’s why we’re inviting families to come together for a special day of healing, creativity, and connection at our upcoming Family Retreat in Murfreesboro.

About the Retreat

Alive’s Family Retreat is a one-day event created for families with children under the age of 18 who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives. The retreat provides a safe, welcoming, and compassionate space. Families can step away from daily routines to focus on healing together.

Through a blend of recreational activities, games, arts and crafts, and guided memory-making experiences; families share stories, express emotions, and find comfort in being with others who understand their journey. The day encourages laughter as well as reflection. The focus is on helping children and caregivers honor their loved ones while discovering new ways to connect and support one another.

Alive’s professional grief counselors and volunteers guide each activity with care, ensuring families feel supported and understood every step of the way. Through creative projects, outdoor play, or quiet moments of remembrance, the Family Retreat helps families strengthen their bonds, build resilience, and find hope together during a time when connection matters most.
