Volunteer Brings Comfort to Hospice Patients with Dementia

Alive volunteer, Nancy Vykouk, is a part of the Murfreesboro Sewing Group and continues to donate lovely items that help calm the busy fingers of our dementia patients. Nancy recently knitted this shawl on a loom, and one of her fellow sewers made this cute fidget mat with Minnie Mouse. The patient who received these items absolutely LOVES them! She had started anxiously picking at her clothes and is pleased to have the mat and the tassels on the shawl to keep her hands busy. Thank you to Nancy and the Murfreesboro Sewing Group for offering extra comfort to our patients!
