Support Grieving Children: FREE Information Session + Resources

As a community, we are grieving for the students and staff killed in the shooting at Nashville’s Covenant School. Alive’s Grief Center is sharing resources to help parents (and those who work with children and teens) support our younger community members as they process the violence that has touched all our lives. This guide from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (www.NCTSN.org) contains tips for talking with children about the shooting.

We are also hosting two free webinars, “Support Your Grieving Child,” on April 6 to help parents support grieving children. Alive’s Grief Support team will provide critical information and answer questions to help parents foster communication and connection with their children in the wake of loss. Thanks to our generous donors, this session is free.

Attendees will learn:

  • How to help a grieving child or teen when you are also broken-hearted
  • When to seek professional support
  • How grief impacts children of different ages
  • How adults can support children in a developmentally appropriate way

Advance Registration is required:
