Kristen Coller, MD
Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Coller brings 16 years of palliative medicine experience to Alive. She most recently served as the lead physician for Aspire Health in Middle and East Tennessee. Prior to Aspire, Dr. Coller served as the hospice and palliative medicine fellowship director at The Ohio State University Medical Center. She completed her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and fellowship at Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care in conjunction with Kentucky University Medical Center. Dr. Coller is board certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. She grew up in Brentwood and graduated from East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine.

Khette Cox
former Alive Chaplain moves into Community Liaison role

Khette is the new community liaison for the Maple Team covering Sumner, Robertson, and North Davidson Counties. She will be working with providers in these counties to develop relationships with Alive to offer our services to patients and their families. Although no longer a chaplain, she will be still be listening, problem solving, and helping families and patients on their hospice journey. She holds a BS in business management from Emory and Henry College, a MA in history from East Tennessee State University, and a MDiv from Vanderbilt University.

Amy Allen, RN
Clinical Director

Amy Allen has been promoted to a clinical director position. She joined Alive in 2015 as a nurse case manager. Prior to joining Alive, she worked as a cardiovascular critical care nurse and as a labor and delivery nurse. She came to Alive from TriStar Summit Hospital in Hermitage, Tennessee. Amy is a RN with a certification in hospice and palliative care nursing. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Milligan College.

Pam Quaintance, LCSW
Interim Director of Grief Services

For more than a decade, Pam has been a member of the Alive grief support team and a director of Camp Forget-Me-Not, one of Alive’s grief camps for kids. She also helped establish and co-direct Alive’s Teen Retreat for high school students. Pam will serve as interim director of grief services providing leadership for the team during the search for a permanent director. She holds a master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University.

Mac Hardcastle
Community Development Manager

Hardcastle works with Alive supporters to expand the reach of our educational programs and end-of-life services through planned giving, named giving, and endowments. He has been a founding member of numerous high-growth companies including HealthStream and Covad. Hardcastle joins Alive from Loudoun Private Equity, where he was vice president of development. A Nashville native, he is a dedicated volunteer in the community and has been a fundraising MC for many local non-profits throughout the years. He is a graduate of Davidson College.
