Alive Announces Three Newly Appointed Members of Its Board of Directors

Community and Business Leaders Join Board for Middle Tennessee’s Only Nonprofit Hospice Provider

Published on May 7, 2021

NASHVILLE, TN – (May 7, 2021) Alive, the only nonprofit hospice provider in Middle Tennessee, announced today that it has appointed Rob Jack, Principal Consultant of Rob Jack Consulting, Keri McInnis, Senior Vice President of Pinnacle Financial Partners in Green Hills, and Jordan Kendig, Operations Director of Leadership & Organizational Development at HCA Healthcare, to its Board of Directors to support its work of enhancing end-of-life care in Middle Tennessee.

“We are so pleased to have Rob, Keri, and Jordan contributing to our mission,” said Alive President and CEO, Kimberly Goessele. “They are accomplished and passionate leaders who will help us remain innovators in bringing personalized care to patients and their loved ones at the end of life.”

Rob Jack is a native Middle Tennessean with 23 years of senior management and consulting expertise across a variety of industries including consumer goods, education technology, and healthcare. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of Conexión Américas, one of Alive’s community partners.

“My mom was in the care of Alive during her final days, and I will always be grateful to the Alive team for giving her a good death...not in pain or discomfort… surrounded by all of us who loved her,” said Jack.

Keri McInnis, Senior Vice President of Pinnacle Financial Partners in Green Hills, was recently appointed by Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee to serve on Austin Peay State University’s Board of Trustees. McInnis also served on the APSU Foundation Board of Trustees and is a past member and founding board chairman of the APSU College of Business advisory board. She has served on several other boards, including the Tennessee Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

“Since 1975, Alive has been a wonderful organization that serves patients and their families by providing comfort, support and care during a precious and often difficult time in a patient’s life,” said McInnis. “It’s a blessing and honor to serve on the Alive Board of Directors to support their mission and vision.”

Jordan Kendig, Operations Director of Leadership & Organizational Development at HCA Healthcare, serves on several boards, including the Nashville Healthcare Council, Leadership Health Care, and Amputee Blade Runners. Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow (FACHE), Kendig is also a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP).

“My wife and I welcomed a son just as the pandemic unfolded in early 2020. We had 9 months to prepare, however our celebration was juxtaposed by the loss by so many,” said Kendig. “The pandemic has underscored the conversations about death and dying many of us avoid with our loved ones. I’m honored to serve Alive in reimagining end of life and in supporting our community through compassionate care.”
