Alive Opens New Office in Franklin

Alive’s new Franklin office is located in the Cool Springs area at: 1897 General George Patton Drive, Suite 116, Franklin, TN 37067

Alive opened a new office in Franklin in January to better serve Williamson County where it has been caring for families in their homes for more than 40 years. The grand opening took place on February 20 with a ribbon cutting and appearances by local leaders.

The new office is part of Alive’s “Closer to Home” strategy for building deeper relationships in the communities it serves. In 2017, Alive opened offices in Hendersonville and Lebanon and built a ten-bed residential care unit in Murfreesboro. The new office locations make visiting with clinical teams, educators, and grief counselors more convenient for patients and families who live outside Davidson County where Alive is headquartered.
The Franklin office is headed by Alive clinical director and long-time Franklin resident Jill Cornwell, RN, CHPN. Free Brunch and Learn educational seminars will be offered along with new bereavement support programs at this location. The space includes a dedicated grief group counseling room which was funded by Alive supporter Joni Werthan and was designed pro bono specifically for this purpose by Leslie Ann Wilson of local architecture firm ESa.

“Judy Orr (Alive’s vice president of mission-based services) and I worked together to create an inviting and functional space that provides flexibility, variety, and security for those in the counseling programs. Because this space serves adults and children, an assortment of seating options and sizes were important. Small details such as table lamps, natural colors, and soft fabrics provide a lot of comfort during an uncomfortable time,” said Leslie, of the project.

In addition to the new grief support programs, individual grief counseling is available upon request at this location. Visit alivehospice.org/griefsupport or contact the grief department for more information: 615-963-4732. Pre-registration is required for all programs.
