Alive Monarchs works in collaboration with your obstetrician, midwife or other medical subspecialist to develop a plan of support following a life-threatening diagnosis.
What do our perinatal services provide?
Perinatal services are personalized to the family’s wishes and expectations. Whether in the hospital or at home, we work with your existing health care team to:
Develop a birth plan in accordance with your family’s desires.
Assist with medical decisions and evaluate intervention options.
Provide emotional support for the expectant mother and family, including siblings.
Coordinate hospice services after the birth, if appropriate and desired.
Assist with final arrangements, which may include funeral or memorial service planning.
Provide bereavement support services.
Who will work with your family?
A social worker will make the initial visit to assess your needs, and will communicate suggestions for a plan of care to the referring health care provider. If appropriate, a nurse, chaplain or grief counselor may also join your perinatal care team to further support your family.
We promise to:
Serve with compassion and understanding.
Listen to you.
Respect your family’s wishes and beliefs.
Treat your family as a unit of care.
Work in collaboration with your existing health care team.
Walk the journey with you.
