Alive Monarchs works in collaboration with primary and specialty providers to care for children or adolescents who face life-threatening conditions, regardless of life expectancy. Our goal is to assist in managing the pain, symptoms and stress that can be a part of facing a serious illness.

What do our pediatric palliative care services provide?

Palliative care services are available to pediatric patients receiving curative and aggressive treatments. Children with life-threatening illnesses often have significant pain or symptoms during these therapies, and palliative care can help ensure that your child remains comfortable at any state of illness. Whether in the hospital or at home, we work with your existing health care team to provide:
Pain and symptom management.
Assistance with medical decisions and evaluating treatment options.
Emotional support.
Stress management and resource counseling.
Spiritual support for persons of all faiths, for all who desire it.

A physician, nurse practitioner and social worker will visit with you and your child and will communicate suggestions for care needs to the referring health care provider.
