What does pediatric hospice care provide?

Whether in your home or at one of our inpatient facilities, we work with your family and established health care team to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of children or adolescents facing life-threatening conditions. A child/adolescent does not need a prognosis of six months or less to receive hospice care. In the hospice care program, a complete range of services are available to you and your family:
Nursing care
Social services
Spiritual care
Physician home visits
Volunteer services
Personal care and grooming services
Home-delivered medical equipment
Pharmacy delivery service
Bereavement care

In a mother’s words:
Our son, Oakley T. Reed III, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at the age of 16. Oakley lived almost three years after he was diagnosed. He fought a courageous battle but was getting tired, and when the doctor came in his room and explained that the cancer was still growing, it was hard to accept but not a surprise. Alive Monarchs assisted us in allowing our son to spend his last few months as comfortable as possible.
