Alive Hospice will host its 3rd Annual Faith Leaders Conference on September 6. It will focus on spirituality and the end of life. The conference will examine the spiritual needs of the dying and what faith leaders can do to care for themselves as they care for others. This year the keynote speaker will be Richard Payne, MD.
Dr. Payne is an internationally known expert in the areas of pain relief, palliative care, oncology and neurology. He is Professor of Medicine and Divinity at Duke Divinity School, and the Esther Colliflower Director of the Duke Institute on Care at the End of Life.
