A/R Supervisor
DUTIES: Responsible for all accounts receivable operations, including timely billing, collections and follow up on accounts.
• Supervises Billing Specialist to ensure that all agency billing is processed timely and accurately, including review of pre-billing audits and electronic submission of bills. Follows up and assists with any billing problems.
• Establish appropriate balancing procedures and ensures daily compliance.
• Ensures that posting to patient accounts is timely and accurate.
• Documents processes and procedures of the accounts receivable office.
• Supervises Accounts Receivable Specialist who follows up on patient accounts, including rebilling, researching and documenting account status. Assists with all collections as needed. Investigates Medicare billing errors. Reports on quarterly credit balances and prepares Medicare credit balance report.
• Stays current with Medicare and TennCare regulations as related to the billing process.
Care Partner (CNT) Full-time
The Care Partner provides personal care and addresses personal needs under the direction, instruction and supervision of a nurse. Works to promote the patients comfort and assist in providing a safe patient environment.

Chaplain, Full time, Float
The Chaplain provides spiritual counsel, guidance and support to patients and their families.
Chief Medical Officer
Assumes overall responsibility for the medical/clinical aspects of the hospice program. Responsible for clinical quality and financial outcomes, continuity and delivery of services. Manages and develops clinical and support staff. Ensures clinical standards and outcomes are met. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, JCAHO and NHPCO standards.
Director of the Inpatient Unit at St. Thomas Hospital
The Director of Inpatient Unit at St. Thomas is responsible for and accountable for desired clinical and financial outcomes, collaborative practice and the allocation of human and material resources needed for care. The Director of Inpatient Unit at St. Thomas utilizes the interdisciplinary team model in the specialty of hospice and palliative care to provide a leading role in insuring improving the quality of care provided. An integrated and coordinated approach to patient outcomes is provided through the Director of Inpatient Unit at St. Thomas who monitors care delivery and interdisciplinary clinical practice to achieve a well managed balance between quality of care, and financial stewardship.
HR Assistant
The Administrative Assistant works with the Director of Human Resources to maintain accurate and confidential records related to those functions and strives to improve internal communication processes and personal productivity and effectiveness for the benefit of the agency.
Intake Specialist
Under the direction of the Intake Supervisor, the Intake Specialist responds to inquiry and intake calls, assists with administrative duties and is cross-trained for other provider relations roles. The Intake Specialist supports the admission of patients, communication with providers (internal and external), data entry and documentation.
LPN - Full-time
Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator, the Licensed Practical Nurse serves as care giver for assigned patients. Responsible for identifying and coordinating patient/family needs and for providing preventive and supportive care to the terminally ill patient/ family unit. The hospice nurse utilizes assessment, intervention and teaching skills in caring for the patient/family unit.
LPN Continuous Care
Provides intensive, palliative and supportive nursing care to the hospice patient during a period of medical crisis. Works under the care plan as directed by the Primary Nurse/Triage Nurse.
LPN/PRN Continuous Care
The LPN provides hospice care for assigned patients under the direction of the Team Leader. Works with IDT to develop and implement hospice plan of care. Supervises Care Partners.
Major Gifts Director
The Major Gifts Director is responsible for the overall development of a comprehensive plan for securing gifts greater than $10,000. In addition, manages a personal portfolio of 100 prospects minimum.
Minority Outreach Coordinator
The Minority Outreach Coordinator develops and coordinates programs designed to promote Alive Hospice services to minority communities. He/she will build relationships with community organizations—churches, social groups, and senior residences—and through these relationships, educate community members about the services hospice provides, the value of the Medicare Hospice Benefit, and the ways hospice can support patients and families facing life-threatening illnesses. The Minority Outreach Coordinator will promote education of community leaders, such as clergy, local elected officials and will help overcome any misconceptions about hospice. He/she will represent Alive Hospice at local/regional conferences, workshops and meetings, as appropriate and necessary.
P/T Receptionst, The Residence
Receives callers at establishment, determines nature of business, and directs callers to destination by performing the following customer service-oriented duties.
Hours: Every week: Fri. 5p-9p, Sat. 8a-5p
Pediatric Nurse
RN serves as Care Manager for assigned patients (with a focus on pediatric patients) responsible for identifying and coordinating patient/family needs and providing preventive and supportive care to the terminally ill patient/family unit. The hospice nurse utilizes assessment, intervention and teaching skills in caring for the patient/family unit.
Provider Educator
The Provider Educator works to enhance and grow Alive Hospice’s presence, referrals and length of stay in assigned areas. Responsible for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with key referral sources, healthcare facilities, related health and human services agencies.
Registered Nurse - Full-time
The Registered Nurse provides hospice care and serves as case manager for assigned patients.
Registered Nurse - PRN
Provides hospice care and serves as case manager for assigned patients. Works with IDT to develop and implement hospice plan of care. Supervises Care Partners and LPNs.
RN, Home Care, Various Teams
Serves as care manager for assigned patients. Responsible for identifying and coordinating patient/family needs and for providing preventive and supportive care to the terminally ill patient/ family unit. The hospice nurse utilizes assessment, intervention and teaching skills in caring for the patient/family unit.
RN, On-call, PRN
Provides on call nursing visits to ensure appropriate, timely and effective nursing care. 7a-7p weekends.
RN, On-call, PRN, Murfrreesboro
Provides on call nursing visits to ensure appropriate, timely and effective nursing care. Hours: 8a-5p weekends.
Social Worker, Full Time, Float
Provides psychosocial services and support to patients and their families.
